Maria Civitello is a licensed attorney in Illinois. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with honors in Psychology and French from Lake Forest College and her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law. At the University of Illinois College of Law, Maria served as Articles Editor for the Elder Law Journal and won a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the study of Economics of Intellectual Property Law.

Prior to joining Astuno and Associates, APC, Maria was an attorney at an immigration law firm, where she specialized in visa applications for highly skilled scientists and academic researchers. She also brings previous experience in general civil litigation, including breach of contract actions and employment law disputes.

Maria is based in the firm’s Lake Forest, Illinois office. In her free time, Maria enjoys cooking, reading, music, and photography.
